Jay Parrenas is a Filipina composer, producer, and guitarist based in San Francisco, California. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of styles, Jay’s work incorporates elements of electronic, experimental, and classical music, to create a unique and dynamic sound that defies categorization. As a composer with a love for innovation, she hopes to continue experimenting with new sounds, textures, and techniques in an effort to push the boundaries of what is possible in modern music. Additionally, as an accomplished guitarist, she has won multiple first-place awards at the Mid-Atlantic Music Teachers Guild Music Festival. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Technology and Applied Composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
